Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteers will be staying at our Youth Hostel and Center (Il Paguro Ostello). It has all the commodities. On the first floor, there is a working space, the common living area and the kitchen, fully equipped and adapted for shared use, there is, also, access to our lovely little garden. They will receive an *allowance* each month, that includes food money and pocket money. The travel expenses will be covered (all the expenses of coming and going back will be reimbursed according to the budget defined by the EU).
Training during the activity
Volunteers will be trained in non-formal education principles about facilitation, intercultural learning, communication, and social media management.
Participant profile
Young People aged 18-30 with an interest in working in disadvantaged and isolated areas with youth at risk of marginalisation, due to social, geographical and economic barriers, including the lack of access to good education and work opportunities. Given the context, we highly appreciate young people who are committed to making an impact and want to understand more about the criminal influence in the South of Italy beyond stereotypes. Considering the nature of the activities, knowledge of Italian, experiences with non-formal education, working with minors, experience working in teams and event planning are considered a plus.
